Responsibilities

Develop and implement innovative signal processing algorithms and advanced data analysis techniques for ocean remote sensing applications
Analyze data from airborne and satellite multi-wavelength sensors to detect, characterize, and interpret ocean phenomena
Apply physical principles and mathematical models to solve complex detection and analysis problems
Create efficient, robust software solutions to implement algorithmic innovations
Document and present technical results to government customers, contributing to high-impact decision-making
Collaborate with a talented, motivated team of engineers and scientists, sharing knowledge and ideas to push the boundaries of technology

Qualification

Required

Master's or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience in algorithm development, remote sensing data analysis, signal detection, and characterization
Strong analytical skills in Fourier analysis, detection and estimation theory, linear algebra, matrix computations, and mathematical modeling
Proficiency in MATLAB or a comparable data analysis platform
Demonstrated track record of innovation, problem-solving, and achieving impactful technical results
Self-motivated, collaborative, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
U.S. citizenship required; eligibility for a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance

Preferred

Background in hydrodynamics or physical oceanography
Additional software skills such as C, C++, Python, Java, MPI, CUDA, shell scripting, or Perl
Experience with client-facing presentations, technical documentation, task planning, and research scheduling
Current U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance
