Director of Revenue Cycle Management
Forge Search is representing a growing healthcare organization in the Upstate that is looking for a Director of Revenue Cycle. This role is responsible for establishing and monitoring KPIs, revenue cycle processes, and ensuring compliance with payer regulations and requirements, while also providing support to the Chief Financial Officer and other departments.
Responsibilities
Ability to plan, direct, and monitor all areas of assigned responsibility
Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI), track weekly progress (via EMR, billing/collection portals)
Monitors billed and unbilled AR
Partner with payers to consistently maintain accountability and acceptable payer performance
Payer contract negotiations and credentialing
Serves as a trusted leader to provide guidance and direction regarding insurance coordination, hospice, home health, and personal care services billing/follow-up/workflows
Knowledge of data systems in order to troubleshoot process issues, system issues, staff issue,s and regulatory issues
Routinely and frequently report revenue cycle activity and status to direct manager
Maintain confidentiality associated with management responsibilities and discussions
Adhere to and meet deadlines associated with the priorities and objectives of the department and business goals
Review and monitor payer requirements, regulations, and collection practices
Prepare and complete weekly reporting and month-end close balancing and close process for Revenue Cycle
Communicate process variances and changes to CFO and RCM staff, as applicable
Maintain current Policy and Procedures for job responsibilities. Instructions are to be complete, detailed, accurate, and updated immediately upon any process changes
Mentor, train, and counsel staff; ensure performance reviews are completed in a timely manner; ensure staff abide by department/agency policy; consistently promote teamwork and cooperation throughout the department
Actively seek to improve people management skills and practices; judgment skills for self and in duties
Exchange information with agency departments that may impact the functions within the Revenue Cycle Management area of responsibilities
Self-initiative to research/evaluate/analyze improvements in person skills and process efficiencies
Perform ongoing internal audits and reporting to evaluate and validate department processes, staff skills, and productivity
Able to understand and perform any assigned back up responsibilities
Has access, use, and ability to disclose personal health information (“PHI”) necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities, and as defined by each organization
Qualification
Required
Home Health or Hospice experience is required
Business degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum five years of experience as Director of Revenue Cycle in a similar-sized organization
Thorough knowledge of healthcare collections, revenue, accounts receivable, and Revenue Cycle processes
Effective managerial and communication skills
Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment with excellent inter-departmental communications
