Machinist Programmer
Inline Plastics is seeking a Machinist Programmer responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to fabricate parts. The role requires an understanding of thermoformed molds and involves generating machine programs, observing machine operations, and ensuring product safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities
Generates machine programs for 2-3 axis machining centers using machine control interface
Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required
Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media
Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications/blueprints etc
Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers or others to resolve machining assembly problems
Modifies design programming geometry in order to rectify fabrication or machinery problems
Builds and repairs molds from models, prints, or verbal instructions
Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to machine parts and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications
Uses hand tools for venting, polishing and sharpening hi-die knives
Makes jigs, fixtures and gauges to hold and check work
Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements
Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards
Follows Product Safety and Quality standards
Follows GMP’s in regard to food contact packaging as it pertains to the employee
Follows IPC product defense standards and complies with all SQF requirements
Qualification
Required
High school diploma, general education degree (GED), state certified Machinist or Toolmaker or minimum of 3 years' experience in a machine shop
At least 2 years experience working with CNC machines, with at least 1 year CNC programming
Preferred
Proficient in 3-axis surface programming using Mastercam software
Knowledge of machining aluminum castings (molds)
Experience in SolidWorks or similar CAD programs
