Emergency Licensed Technician and Experienced Veterinary Assistant (Overnight Shift)

They are seeking an Emergency Licensed Technician and Experienced Veterinary Assistant to work overnight shifts, performing diagnostics, maintaining medical records, and providing excellent customer service while collaborating with the medical team.

Responsibilities

Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, zoonotic diseases, and unpleasant odors
Perform diagnostics such as phlebotomy, cystocentesis, in house laboratory testing (CBC’s, blood chemistries, urinalysis, SNAP tests, blood typing, cross matching) blood pressures and radiographs. , take vitals, use and perform medical math
May include some lifting or carrying (up to 50 lbs). Will include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
Maintain medical records by documenting patients’ conditions, reactions, and changes; updates database in an accurate and timely manner
Maintain equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining equipment supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs
Using critical thinking to work positively as a team player; remaining calm and professional while effectively problem solve
Exhibits excellent customer service skills when engaging with clientele
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor, Hospital Manager or Medical Director as needed

Preferred

LVT or LVT-VTS credentials
students currently in Veterinary Technician school
1+ years of experience in urgent, emergency or critical care
