Mall Maintenance Specialist - Mornings & Weekends

Rural King is dedicated to providing a positive workplace and exceptional service to rural communities. The Mall Maintenance Specialist role involves maintaining and improving the facilities of the Cross County Mall, including cleaning, general maintenance, and landscaping tasks.

Responsibilities

Clean restrooms, food court area, parking lot, offices, and floors

Maintenance of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry as needed

Assist vendors with setting up for weekend shows and special occasions

Mow premises and general landscaping seasonally

Removal of snow, seasonally

Maintain and repair parking lot as needed

Painting, changing light bulbs, power washing, and other general building maintenance as needed

Schedule contractors for major repairs

Be flexible to assist with occasional repairs or service at the current RK Store Support Center

Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments

Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively

Required

High school diploma or equivalent

Prior knowledge of general building maintenance or janitorial work

Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals

Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities

Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations

Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically

Ability to navigate and access all facilities

Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices

Close vision for computer-related activities
