Responsibilities
Manage and oversee all operational aspects of duty drawback claims, including documentation, review, and submission
Ensure compliance with CBP regulations and stay updated on any regulatory changes impacting drawback claims
Prepare timely, accurate, and complete drawback filings
Act as the primary liaison with Customs on all drawback matters, including audits and inquiries
Serve as the primary point of contact for a select group of clients to ensure satisfaction and proactive service delivery
Provide support and guidance to clients regarding documentation requirements and drawback eligibility
Lead and supervise a small team, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback
Train new and existing team members on duty drawback processes and compliance standards
Collaborate with the Sales team to promote Zarach Logistics’ duty drawback services to existing and potential clients
Provide subject matter expertise to support client onboarding and retention efforts
Develop a client base focused on providing duty drawback services
Maintain organized and accurate records for all drawback claims and client files
Generate reports for internal tracking of filings, refunds, and pending claims
Support internal and external audits as needed
Perform other duties as assigned by the Customs Broker or Director of Operations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered
Minimum 5 years of direct experience in duty drawback processes
Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role
Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations and compliance standards
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Preferred
Licensed Customs Broker preferred but not required
Familiarity with customs compliance software is a plus
