Failure Analysis Intern
Tower Semiconductor is a global specialty foundry leader specializing in manufacturing analog integrated circuits. The Failure Analysis Intern will perform physical or electrical failure analysis to support internal requests or projects during their internship assignment.
Responsibilities
Perform physical or electrical failure analysis in support of internal requests or projects based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment
Work with engineering team to decide the appropriate analysis technique to be performed and provide the correct analysis for verification and reporting
Learn operation of failure analysis tools including optical microscopy, parameter analyzers, wet and dry chemical die de-processing techniques, and fault isolation emission techniques such as OBIRCH and photon emission microscopy
Provide analytical reporting to the engineering departments. Interact with job requesting engineer for clarification
Handle multiple failure analysis jobs in parallel
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a BS in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or similar degree field
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Semiconductor and circuit device coursework and/or experience
Strong attention to details, highly organized and computer literate (proficient in MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
Ability to interact with a team with good verbal and written communication skills
