The role is responsible for leading and managing all construction safety activities from project commencement through substantial completion, ensuring compliance with safety standards and promoting a positive safety culture.

Responsibilities
Administer and oversee the project’s safety program throughout the full construction lifecycle
Implement and manage construction safety processes, including hazard identification, mitigation, and routine field inspections
Conduct incident investigations and prepare documentation with preventive recommendations
Provide documented continuing education and practical training in: Fall Protection, Scaffolds, Excavation & Trenching, Confined Space, Crane/Equipment Operations, Electrical Safety, Incident Investigation
Review and approve safety method statements and procedures related to high-hazard activities
Coordinate emergency response planning, including First Aid/CPR/AED requirements
Maintain accurate safety records, compliance documentation, and training evidence
Serve as a liaison with the ODR and project leadership for all safety matters
Ensure subcontractors adhere to project safety standards and regulatory requirements
Qualification
Required
7+ years building construction safety, including:
5+ years in construction safety process management; or
4-year safety degree and 3+ years of actual field safety experience
Documented continuing education in the following, dated within the last 5 years:
Fall Protection
Scaffolds
Excavation
Confined Space
Crane/Equipment Operations
Electrical Safety
Incident Investigation
Other relevant safety/health topics
Must possess OSHA 500 (Construction Industry Trainer) OR OSHA 502 (Trainer Update)
Current certifications in:
Emergency First Aid
Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)(All must be current within 2 years.)
Strong, demonstrated experience in incident prevention, field engagement, and enforcing safety compliance
