CNC Process Engineer

Responsibilities
Contributing to the successful completion of major projects that support strategic priorities or difficult technical objectives
Responsible for selecting cutting tools which will produce a part to Engineering and Manufacturing requirements
Approving special cutting tool designs and introducing new technical advancements in machine tool processes
Maintaining an overview of cutting tool performance and usage
Executing projects for the Core ME Support group to include ensuring the smooth preparation of CNC data, post processing / simulation, proper execution of all CNC machines and troubleshooting any problems that arise
Ensuring the proper integration of process management
Includes training and mentoring other peers and researching the latest in technological advancements
Development of standard reporting metrics, best practices and standards, and additional tasks as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree is required with preference in Engineering, NC, Computer Science, or Manufacturing Technology
10 years in aerospace or related manufacturing industry working with CNC machining or composite manufacturing
Experience with full NC Programming and Post processor life cycles
Experience in successful shop floor collaboration and relationship building
Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GDT Standards
Experience with CATIA v5 CAD/CAM
