Responsibilities

Build and maintain complex financial models for energy procurement and origination efforts to help forecast costs, returns, and risks

Perform financial valuation and comparisons of power purchase agreements and develop recommendations for leadership

Support annual power budget forecasting processes

Identify financial risks related to energy price volatility, contract obligations, and market dynamics

Provide financial insights to achieve corporate renewable energy and carbon neutrality targets through strategic investments and procurement

Build and automate financial dashboards, performing deep-dive analysis into performance metrics, and providing strategic recommendations to improve financial outcomes

Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports that provide insights into financial results, trends, and key metrics

Monitor power price data in existing and new campus locations and tracking industry news and events that could impact power markets

Work with cross departmental teams to create load forecasts for new and existing locations and develop tracking mechanisms and tools to continually monitor and refine load forecasts to support power supply activities

Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed to support business units with financial data and insights

Research the cost effectiveness and potential of new technologies for supply and demand-side energy resources

Interact with market participants including utilities, energy retailers, trade associations, C&I buyers, and others, in market outreach, relationship development, and assessing and providing solutions to serve buyers' interest

Identify and develop innovative cost savings projects (capital and operational) and initiatives related to energy infrastructure and supply

Support and manage multiple technically complex power projects across multiple states by facilitating close collaboration between internal and external stakeholders

Required

Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited institution

Minimum three years related work experience, preferably in the data center or energy space

Exceptional data management capabilities, including working with large datasets and extracting actionable insights

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required); experience with at least one programming language (preferred)

Excellent analytical, time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, and organizational skills

Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently and effectively

Proven track record of innovation, creativity, and driving business teams toward rapid development of executable projects

Demonstrated history of collaboration, problem-solving, and communication that contributes to overall team success

Preferred

Experience with at least one programming language
