Software Quality Analyst

Responsibilities
Collaborate cross-functionally with Development and Product teams to design and refine test strategies, risk-based scenarios, and coverage models that effectively qualify the Clinical Ink platform (mobile, web and backend) for functional, integration, and compliance readiness
Plan, coordinate, and manage end-to-end test execution activities, including:
Scheduling and prioritizing test cycles based on release timelines and risk impact
Executing manual and/or automated test cases across multiple environments
Logging, categorizing, and tracking defects through their lifecycle using established defect management processes
Performing root cause analysis and validating corrective actions to ensure defect resolution integrity
Ensure all validation activities adhere to internal quality controls, regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GxP), and data integrity principles (ALCOA+). Maintain complete traceability from requirements to test evidence
Support the creation of validation deliverables in accordance with SOPs and guidelines by ensuring all testing activities are thoroughly documented including but not limited to:
Validation Plans
Validation Summary Reports
Test Cases
Assist in continuous improvement efforts by helping identify process gaps, providing input on validation enhancements, and supporting updates to SOPs and related processes
As necessary, assist with Study Quality testing activities
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
Knowledge of software testing principles, SDLC, Agile Frameworks, and QA best practices
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
Proactive mindset with a commitment to learning and continuous improvement
Preferred
Strong hands-on experience designing and building automated tests using Playwright or Selenium, and Appium for mobile (or AccelQ) and cross-platform coverage
Solid command of a core programming language, ideally JavaScript/TypeScript or Java, with the ability to write clean, modular, and maintainable automation code
Deep experience in API testing using tools like Postman, REST libraries, or integrated API clients within automation frameworks
Strong SQL proficiency, including complex CRUD operations, joins, data validation, and test data setup
Practical experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket or similar), with an understanding of test orchestration, parallel execution, and reporting
Ability to analyze flaky tests, optimize automation performance, and contribute to overall framework architecture
