The Digital Printing Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating printing equipment, ensuring quality control, conducting maintenance, and improving printing processes to meet production demands.

Responsibilities
Sets up, oversees, and operates ASI plastics printing equipment and files to convert material into finished product in accordance with specifications, procedures, and practices
Sets up, oversees, and operates peripheral equipment including coater unit and primer unit
Conduct troubleshooting and preventative/routine maintenance on ASI plastics printing equipment
Participate in product testing and general product research and development
Responsibility for approving/certifying ASI plastics printing equipment is cleared for use in production after internal/external maintenance interventions
Responsibility for ensuring that a consistent and comparable quality/color of print is produced from each piece of ASI printing equipment
Coordinates required repairs with maintenance and outside contractors on Plastics area printing equipment. Oversee contractors when necessary
Ensures that Plastics printing equipment is operational and ready to run as required to meet production requirements
Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve plastics print operations, minimize operating costs, and improve utilization of labor and materials
Develops and implements preventive plastics print maintenance program in conjunction with team members and contractors
Confers with management, operations, and quality personnel to resolve plastics print problems and recommend measures to improve operations, conditions of machines and equipment, and minimize material usage
Analyzes and resolves plastics print work problems or assists team members in solving work problems
Performs related work as required
Be flexible to work alternate shift schedules in order to meet customer demands during peak periods

Qualification
Required
High-school diploma or equivalent
Must be competent or above in Microsoft Office
Must possess competent or above Math Skills
Basic understanding of Color Theory
Ability to accurately view the full color spectrum
Knowledge of plastic card printing equipment
Preferred
HP or digital print experience a plus
Successful completion of HP certified operator & shared maintenance training
Experience of working within ISO 9001 or documented quality system
Knowledge of plastic card printing equipment
