Responsibilities
Oversee troubleshooting and diagnosis activities for day to day problems within ultra-fast drone delivery operations
Ensure a high degree of technical reliability within drone operations
Work closely with design engineering staff and power a flywheel of continuous improvement in the drone system design
Establish and maintain close relationships with drone maintainers and operators
Provide engineering analyses and solutions to improve the system use experience and uptime
Leverage data-driven insights to identify opportunities and lead implementation of system improvements
Serve as the first line liaison between operator/maintainer experiences and design engineering improvements or mitigations
Bring a unique perspective informed by direct operational data and customer feedback to spearhead system improvements and address engineering problems discovered in the field
Translate complex system functions into digestible insights and summarize effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Qualification
Required
7+ years of new hardware products development experience
7+ years of engineering team management experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
Experience in engineering team management
Experience in new hardware product development
Experience in DFx (cost, test, manufacturing)
Experience with the project management of technical projects
Preferred
Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Power Engineering, or a related field
Knowledge of AWS or cloud technologies
Experience developing products for large volume production
Experience managing teams of 8+ engineers
