Training and Development Specialist

Arc Broward is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of people with developmental disabilities. They are seeking a Training and Development Specialist to build strong, skilled, and empowered teams through quality training programs and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver quality programs for employees of Arc Broward / Barc Housing, as well as community customers
Collaborate with stakeholders to assist in developing new educational programs, training, and workshops that meet team member and community customer needs
Serve as the primary instructor for the agency’s nationally accredited, state-licensed post-secondary program, DSPATHS
Lead exciting initiatives in direct support professional networking and mentoring
Monitor training activity for compliance with accreditation standards and requirements from funding sources (governmental, private foundations, etc.) and regulatory bodies (e.g., CARF and ACCET)
Oversee the department’s training database and ensure that all training records are accurate and complete for all team members
Deliver exceptional customer service and training experience to team members and community customers

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources specializing in training/development or organizational management, Marketing, Business, Education or related field
Minimum of four years' related experience in providing training and education to organization/corporations/schools
Must be able to pass PCM Training as a trainer. Training will be provided within the first three months of employment
Must be able to pass CPR and First Aid as a trainer. Training will be provided within the first three months of employment
Demonstrate proficiency and effectiveness in verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Exceptional organizational skills, time management and ability to handle high volume multiple projects
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Valid FL driver's license and successful level II background check, physical and drug screen

Preferred

Experience with Provider Pro and Nutshell preferred
Bilingual English + Spanish or Creole
