Group Sales Manager

The Unbound Collection by Hyatt is known for its elite level of service and luxurious accommodations. They are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Group Sales Manager to sell guest rooms, meeting spaces, and other Hyatt services while managing accounts and generating business for the hotel.

Responsibilities

Selling guest rooms, meeting space food and beverage, and other Hyatt services to groups
Managing accounts
Conducting site inspections
Soliciting and generating business for the hotel
Booking short-term groups in a fast-paced environment
Menu planning, agenda setting, hospitality amenities, room block management and special VIP requests
Contract negotiations and review
Facilitating communication before, during and post event with clients (bill review/management) and pertinent hotel staff to ensure a high level of service
Hosting Driskill Hotel tours
Maintaining strong customer relationships
Participating and potentially leading event meetings and other staff meetings
Working cohesively as a team with the sales and events staff
Working closely with a coordinator and other support staff

Required

A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
Proven experience in group and event sales within the hospitality industry
Candidates should be extremely detail oriented and organized
Refined verbal and written communication skills
Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
Ability to be on property on a daily basis

Preferred

Strong selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training is preferred
Prior experience prospecting and networking to gain new business is preferred
Prefer 1-2 years hotel sales experience or completed Management Trainee program
