Responsibilities
Develops and manages scope, schedule, and budget of individual projects
Works with matrixed team to provide tasks and deliverables on time
Provides clear direction of next steps when needed to design team
Monitors KPI’s, critical path, issues management, etc
Provides project analysis and metrics for individual projects
Primary point of contact for internal peers
Primary point of contact for client’s internal work teams
Manages construction, procurement, invoice preparation, and project documentation
Continuously build and maintain a network of third-party consultants and vendors
Lead project acquisition efforts including identifying opportunities and working collaboratively with Marketing team in preparing bids and interviews for jobs
Demonstrate a working knowledge of client and industry standards related to design and construction
Lead numerous individuals and project teams by leveraging technology and project management tools for communication and coordination
Provide technical support and observation services during construction
Develop and monitor project organizational and administrative systems
Qualification
Required
Valid CA driver's license
PMP Certification
PE License for Transmission specialists
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or other relevant field, or equivalent training and experience
Master's degree in Business Management or equivalent experience
At least 10 years of experience in project management
Strong skills in MS Office
Positive attitude, ability to work collaboratively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with scheduling software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera P6
Experience in public utility design and construction, natural gas pipelines, water/sewer infrastructure, or electric distribution overhead and underground infrastructure
Preferred
PE License and PMP for SPACE specialists Senior Project Manager
Master's degree in Engineering or related science, Business, or Organizational Management
Working knowledge of client and industry design and construction standards desired
