Provide exceptional customer service by phone, email and in person
Provide students with information on Federal and State financial assistance
Assist students/parents in submitting documentation needed to complete the financial aid process
Assist with the registration process, including pre-registration and late registration
Assist with orientations and presentations
Other duties as assigned by the Customer Service Coordinator and/or the Director of Financial Aid
Supervise work-study students
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent is required
Provide exceptional customer service by phone, email and in person

Ability to read and comprehend policies and procedures directives and correspondence pertaining to financial aid programs
Ability to read and comprehend policies and procedures pertaining to personnel, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
Ability to effectively present information in one-to-one and small groups situations
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from faculty, students and general public
Ability to write routine job-related correspondence as well as prepare reports on the operations of the office
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages and decimals
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear
The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
Computer skills including knowledge of current Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suites
Must have the ability to learn new software with ease
Word processing and database management skills a necessity
Preferred
Associate's degree preferred
Previous experience in higher education is desirable
