Director of Budget and Financial Systems

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is seeking a Director of Budget and Financial Systems to manage their budget and financial systems. This role focuses on financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and optimizing system usage, while providing leadership in financial management across all departments.

Responsibilities

Direct the development, monitoring, and reporting of PCT’s operating budget
Assess and enhance financial systems and workflows
Oversee training for internal users of financial software
Design just-in-time, as well as monthly, internal reports and deploy budget monitoring tools throughout the Trust
Collaborate with the Director of Data Strategy and Analytics to report on key financial performance indicators (KPIs)
Support and implement board-level planning and monitoring of budget reports
Serve as the main contact for Sage Intacct and Yooz software implementations at the Trust
Assist department leaders in developing their sections of the annual budget and support the CFO throughout the budgeting process
Supervise the Finance and Risk Manager and provide backup for all Finance department functions
Show commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion through ongoing learning, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
Complete special assignments from the CFO and other duties as required

Required

A bachelor's degree is required
At least four years of non-profit finance experience required
One to two years of overseeing others in a finance setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential
Experience with or implementing accounting software in a non-profit environment is necessary
Understanding financial reporting requirements and workflows is required
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Diplomatic and calm demeanor
Collaborative style
Exceptional time management
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
Balances process orientation with flexibility
Strong problem-solving skills
Effective team player

Preferred

Master's degree in accounting, business management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Familiarity with Sage Intacct and Yooz software, or similar systems
