Mid, Senior LevelPrimer is dedicated to transforming the K-12 education system by empowering educators to launch microschools. The Major Gifts role involves growing the foundation's donor portfolio through strategic relationships and effective fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities
Create and own a portfolio of major gift donors including identification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship and renewal
Build out and run a mid-level giving program to create a stronger pipeline of donors
Serve as a face of Primer to donors and community members building strategic relationships and representing Primer at key events
Manage stakeholder communications toward increased awareness and engagement leading to gift renewals and increased gifts
Qualification
Required
Experience growing a major gifts portfolio
Understanding of the foundational principles of philanthropy
Ability to think big picture and be a strategist
Willingness to roll up sleeves and do the work
Creative thinker and strong implementer
Preferred
History of closing five (and ideally six)-figure gifts and meeting or exceeding increasing fundraising goals
Experience building relationships toward increased gifts; bonus points if you have experience growing a donor base at a new organization
Past fundraising experience with education-related causes
Work experience within a fast-growing organization is a plus
