Teller/Backup Loan Assistant
D.L. Evans Bank is a community bank that has been serving residents of Southern Idaho and Northern Utah since 1904. The Teller/Backup Loan Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of banking functions, including processing transactions, providing clerical support for loan activities, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Maintains and projects the Bank's professional reputation
Helps other area personnel as required
Keeps management informed of area activities and any significant problems or concerns
Attends meetings as required
Serves as a representative for D.L. Evans Bank in the community
Promotes D.L. Evans Bank at all times
Obtains and conveys information as needed
Coordinates functions with related departments and Branches and provides support as needed
Completes special projects as assigned
Receives deposits in person or by mail
Receives loan payments in person or by mail
Processes cash advances, gift/travel cards, cashiers checks, government bonds, and similar transactions
Disburses cash for checks/withdrawals and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances
Processes transfers
Processes assigned cash and transactions and balances at end of day
Verifies transactions, monitors deposit amounts and examine documents for proper endorsement and negotiability, and detects and resolves discrepancies promptly
Maintains security of assigned work area and places cash in teller drawer and locks all drawers when leaving work area
Places holds on uncollected funds when necessary in accordance with established policy
Processes loan payments and loan draws
Prepares financial statements and budgets as required. Prepares loan memorandums and other loan related documents
Reviews loan application file to verify that application date is complete and meets establishment standards
Verifies, compiles, and types information for loans
May monitor disbursements on construction and development loans
Prepares and executes funding of loan packages and documentation in accordance with establishment guidelines and policies
Reviews and prepares loan documentation and files and types loan forms
May complete monthly Board of Director reports
Balances various general ledger accounts on daily, weekly and/or monthly basis
Qualification
Required
Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma or GED required
Experience helpful, particularly in a financial environment
Accurate and attentive to detail
Well organized
Good typing skills
Willing and able to help others
Able to use a computer, adding machine, copy machine, and basic business equipment
Able to get along well with coworkers
Preferred
Basic knowledge of commercial and consumer loan services and procedures preferred
Familiarity with general loan documentation helpful
