Outside Sales Representative - Lexington, KY Market

PIRTEK Lexington is seeking a driven Outside Sales Representative to expand our customer base across Central Kentucky by selling our 24/7/365 mobile on-site hydraulic and industrial hose repair and replacement services. This role focuses on new business development with various industries, ensuring efficient service and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Prospect, qualify, and close new business with companies in construction, aggregate/quarry operations, logistics/trucking, manufacturing, municipal services, agriculture, and equipment rental—key industries across the Lexington and Central Kentucky market
Promote PIRTEK’s 24/7/365 mobile on-site hose service with 1-hour ETA, emphasizing fast response times that minimize downtime for equipment vital to Lexington’s rapidly growing construction and industrial sectors
Conduct regular on-site visits, yard walk-throughs, and facility tours to identify hydraulic and industrial hose usage and uncover preventative maintenance and emergency service opportunities
Present PIRTEK’s full product offering, including: Medium to ultra-high-pressure hydraulic hoses, Industrial hoses for aggregate, chemical, air, and material handling, D.O.T. air brake hoses and assemblies for fleet operators, Access to one of the industry’s most extensive adapter and fitting catalogs
Educate customers on preventative maintenance programs that reduce catastrophic hose failures, spills, environmental risks, and unplanned downtime
Collaborate with operations and mobile service technicians to ensure a seamless end-to-end customer experience—from quoting to on-site service completion
Track and report on sales pipeline activity, call frequency, quotes, and closed business within your assigned Lexington territory
Represent PIRTEK at local safety meetings, industry events, fleet expos, construction sites, etc. to build brand awareness and credibility across Central Kentucky

Qualification

Required

2+ years of successful outside sales or business development experience, preferably within industrial, MRO, construction equipment, fleet services, agriculture, or related markets
Proven track record of hunting for new business and building strong customer relationships through consistent in-person visits
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with field supervisors, fleet managers, mechanics, shop foremen, operations leaders, and procurement teams
Valid driver's license and clean driving record; comfortable spending most of the day in the field visiting customer sites across Central Kentucky

Preferred

Working knowledge of hydraulic systems, industrial hoses, or mechanical equipment is strongly preferred—or the mechanical aptitude to learn quickly
