DAWSON is currently seeking applicants for part-time dentist positions to support medical readiness services for the California Army National Guard. The role involves performing examinations and dental treatments in mobile settings throughout California, primarily on weekends.

Responsibilities

Complete examinations/screenings and ensure accurate charting on military forms
Complete comprehensive dental treatment to include restorative, endodontic, and/or oral surgery procedures
Document findings/completed treatments on military forms and properly classify soldiers
Work collaboratively with event team
Safeguard all soldiers’ information
Ensures all actions comply with HIPAA and other appropriate federal/state laws and regulations

Qualification

Active California dental licenseCPR/BLS certificationDrug Enforcement Agency (DEA) numberProfessional liability insuranceMilitary setting experienceBasic computer knowledgeSolution orientedMobile dental setting comfortFast-paced environment adaptability

Required

Active California dental license, with no restrictions
CPR/BLS certification
Professional liability insurance policy
Have a valid US driver's license
Basic computer knowledge and skills
Utilization of universal precautions for patient care
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly
Ability to work for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speed
Comfort in working in a mobile dental setting
Must be solution oriented
Must submit no less than two professional references with resume

Preferred

Current and active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number
Experience working in a military setting and working knowledge of the regulations and policies that apply to Dental Readiness Classification (DRC) and deployment
