Engineer - Battery Case Welding
Toyota North America is seeking an Engineer for a temporary assignment in Georgetown, KY. The role involves procuring and designing specifications for machines and robots used in Battery Case Welding, along with managing machine vendors and supporting manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
Candidate would be responsible for procuring and designing specifications of machines, robots and other similar equipment used for Battery Case Welding
Managing and working with machine vendors to confirm correct quality and specification of machines
Duties include: Process Planning; Machine Specifications; Machine/ Equipment Procurement; Installation/ Trial Management; Project Management; Schedule Control; Budget Control/ Cost Reduction; Manufacturing Support/ Process Tracking
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts as typical work is conducted at nonproduction times
Qualification
Required
BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Proficient Computer Skills: MS Office, CAD packages (AutoCAD, Catia, C3)
Manufacturing/ Processing Experience
2-5 years of experience in Manufacturing of Automotive Industry
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts as typical work is conducted at nonproduction times
Work Authorization: Green Card, US Citizen
Preferred
Bodyshop Engineering Experience
New Model Introduction experience
Up to 5 years Automotive/ Manufacturing Engineering Experience
Preferred years of experience: 2 years
Travel required: 25% to 50%
