Responsibilities

Removes worn or defective tires and replaces them with new tires using the necessary tools and equipment
Reads and comprehends training manuals, service tickets, etc
Has basic knowledge about vehicles
Checks basic elements of the vehicle’s tires according to Western Auto’s methods for tire and courtesy inspections
Installs, replaces, and fixes tires and provides tire balancing services
Uses knowledge of diagnostic equipment - tire installation machines and balancing, and tire repair equipment
Must have a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and the ability to drive cars with manual or automatic transmissions
Handles a fast-paced work environment, stress, and stressful situations in a professional manner
Performs maintenance tasks - sweeping/mopping the workshop floor, cleaning/maintaining the equipment, emptying the garbage bins, cleaning the parking area, etc
Operates the workshop lifts appropriately
Is competitive and has a team player’s attitude
Follows the company guidelines in terms of protection, safety, hygiene, and the dress code
Can install batteries if they are a mechanics student and a supervisor is nearby
