HEOR Intern

Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative intern to join their Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Value Demonstration Team. The intern will be involved in understanding and shaping the value proposition of interstitial lung disease and oncology products, collaborating with various teams to design and implement health economic models and outcomes research studies.

Responsibilities

Assist in conducting a variety of HEOR study types, including retrospective claims analysis, electronic medical record database evaluations, cost-effectiveness and budget impact modeling, meta-analysis, and systematic literature reviews
Play an integral role in all aspects of research, from conceptualization and protocol development to statistical analysis, supplier management, and dissemination of findings
Work closely with HEOR colleagues and cross-functional business partners to understand and develop strategic and tactical plans that align with the business objectives of each respective therapeutic area
Collaborate with internal HEOR colleagues to create impactful slide decks and other materials tailored for both internal and external audiences
Actively participate in team, department, and cross-functional meetings to deepen your understanding of the role of HEOR within the pharmaceutical industry and at Boehringer Ingelheim

Required

Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing
Student must be enrolled at an accredited college or university for the duration of the internship/co-op
Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred
Major or minor in related field of internship/co-op
Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university
Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred

Prior experience in health services research, pharmacoeconomic analyses, patient-reported outcomes, prospective observational research, and/or retrospective observational research
Strong methodological, quantitative and analytical skills
Strong communication (oral and written) skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Interest in pursuing health economics and outcomes research as a career
