The Medicaid Billing Team Lead is responsible for coordinating the daily operational activities of the billing department to ensure standards are met and the claim filing process is completed efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

Maintains the billing process of assigned areas of responsibility (governmental or commercial) to provide effective electronic claim filing strategies

Ensures billing policies and procedures are followed by billing department staff

Works with billing manager on a weekly basis to set goals and objectives, prioritize special projects and review insurance and billing status reports

Assist with staff communication providing updates, setting individual staff goals and reviewing productivity reports with team members

Completes training of new hires and ongoing in services as appropriate concerning areas of responsibility and payer specific updates

Completes and maintains provider enrollment documentation for all third party carriers

Assures patient billing submissions are efficient and works with Foundation Coordinator to monitor billing cycle for patients

Reconciles electronic filing reports
