Responsibilities
Use 2D and 3D tools to create designs that combine product appeal, functionality, and manufacturability
Develop design strategies to bring cohesion and consistency to the product portfolio
Oversee design and fabrication of compelling functional and/or appearance prototypes for review by team leaders and executive staff
Work with suppliers and engineers to develop, refine, and document high-quality, cost-effective manufacturing methods
Qualification
Required
10+ years of relevant work in industry or academia experience
Experience in new hardware product development
Experience communicating with customers, technical, regulatory, business teams, and management to collect requirements, describe product features, and technical designs
Mastery over 2D and 3D visualization tools
Preferred
Knowledge of material and manufacturing methods
Experience in visual design expertise with ability to produce fresh, simple, elegant and exceedingly usable layouts and interactions and iconography
Experience designing electro-mechanical systems with significant user interaction elements a strong plus
