Adjunct Faculty Pool - Paralegal Studies (LEGL)
Santa Fe Community College is seeking adjunct faculty for their Paralegal Studies program. The role involves teaching courses, evaluating student performance, and participating in curriculum development while maintaining professional standards and supporting a diverse college community.

Responsibilities
Teach assigned courses, whether on campus or off campus, day or evening, following the official Master Syllabi and using approved textbooks and other learning materials including Canvas or any other learning management system (LMS)
Meet all classes regularly and on time, as scheduled, and for their full duration
Evaluate student performance (attainment of learning objectives) and assign grades
Working with the program's Lead Faculty, participate in the department’s/division’s review of courses and programs, including program review
Working with the program's Lead Faculty, assist in the preparation of course syllabi; engage in curriculum development (revising and updating existing courses and programs, creating new courses and programs)
Maintain Canvas or other LMS shell and utilize to keep accurate records of student attendance, grades, etc
Make arrangements with the program's Lead Faculty or department chair for covering classes when scheduling an absence
Meet all deadlines in submitting grades or other required information on students
Attend faculty meetings as requested by program's Lead Faculty
Qualification
Required
Applied Associates in Science (A.A.S.) degree in paralegal studies and a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of four (4) years work experience as a paralegal
Alternatively, a Juris Doctorate degree and a minimum of two years experience practicing law
Preferred
Higher education teaching experience
