They are seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts while ensuring system performance and security for their NetProfiler and Flow Gateway products.

Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python/Bash and, where applicable, Perl
Manage, configure and troubleshoot systems based on Red Hat or RHEL-based distributions (e.g. CentOS, AlmaLinux)
Build and maintain RPM packages
Create and maintain Docker images to support application deployment
Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Packer, Ansible and Terraform
Monitor system performance, availability and security
Collaborate with development, QA to support application development
Implement best practices in terms of security, infrastructure as code, automation and configuration management
Qualification
Required
Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python/Bash and, where applicable, Perl
Manage, configure and troubleshoot systems based on Red Hat or RHEL-based distributions (e.g. CentOS, AlmaLinux)
Build and maintain RPM packages
Create and maintain Docker images to support application deployment
Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Packer, Ansible and Terraform
Monitor system performance, availability and security
Collaborate with development, QA to support application development
Implement best practices in terms of security, infrastructure as code, automation and configuration management
Jenkins: Hands-on experience with pipeline scripting
Python: Proficiency in scripting and tool development
RPM packaging: Experience with building, signing and maintaining RPM packages
Docker: Experience in building, tagging and managing Docker images
RedHat-based Systems: Experience in system administration and shell scripting
Perl: Experience is a plus; alternatively, a strong foundation in OOP principles and ability to understand Perl codebase is acceptable
Familiarity with version control systems like Git
Familiarity with Issue and Project tracking like Jira
Understanding of basic networking concepts, DNS and firewalls
Preferred
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
Familiarity with VMware ESXi
Understanding of monitoring and logging tools (e.g Prometheus, Grafana)
Exposure to infrastructure as code practices and tools
