Responsibilities
Participate in planning the objectives, methods and resources of short and long range financial operations of the company
Direct and coordinate the accounting, budgeting and other financial operations of assigned area. Includes providing administrative and technical supervision to staff personnel
Recommend policies and procedures relating to financial and business practices of the company
Monitor the financial operations of the company or assigned area to insure compliance with budgets
Oversee the preparation of required Federal and State financial and payroll reports as well as financial and related reports to the President and/or Corporate Executives
Direct in service training and development of staff
Functions as management link between staff and corporate accounting
This position is required to travel
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Four years business/accounting degree with advanced degree or CPA preferred or equivalent experience
Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects in a timely manner
Extensive experience and knowledge of all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management required
Thorough knowledge of all relevant Federal, State, and local requirements regarding financial records and benefit compliance
Must have safe driving record and a valid driver's license according to legal requirements
Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Requires a positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with internal and external customers
Must maintain confidentiality and contribute to a team-oriented work environment
