CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our Environmental Team in Albany, NY. In this role, you will assist in geotechnical engineering projects and support senior engineers while contributing to the advancement of environmental sustainability.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for geotechnical engineering projects
Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates
Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices for optimizing sustainability
Perform field assignments related to subsurface explorations, instrumentation, and construction observation

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related field required
Strong theoretical knowledge in engineering field
Familiarity with geotechnical engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team

Preferred

Prior internships and/or relevant coursework
Participation in professional engineering society/organization
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus
