Responsibilities

Select and apply appropriate design criteria to perform traffic engineering design assignments

Perform analyses related to traffic operations and safety

Assist in the preparation of engineering project documents such as traffic impact studies, stage 0 analyses, and transportation management plans

Prepare high quality contract documents (plans, specifications, and estimates) for the construction of traffic and ITS infrastructure

Provide technical inputs and help optimize solutions

Utilize relevant software programs to perform analyses and modeling such as HCS, Sidra, Synchro, Vistro, VISSIM, and IHSDM

Prepare exhibits, designs and complex working drawings using AutoCAD, Microstation, and OpenRoads Designer

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

Engineering intern licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months

Microstation experience is required

Preferred

Working knowledge of relevant standards such as ITE Trip Gen, MUTCD, HCM, and HSM is a plus

Experience with software such as HCS, Sidra, Synchro, Vistro, VISSIM, and IHSDM is a plus

Experience with InRoads, OpenRoads, and/or GeoPak/3D Modeling is a plus
