Responsibilities

Serve as the training chief and senior advisor responsible for technical, analytical, advisory, liaison and coordinating duties in accomplishing the overall functions of the Sergeant William R Jecelin Noncommissioned Officer Academy- Hawaii
Develop or revise the specific content of courses related to leadership, common core and tactical training and situational training exercises including individual student and group assessments and evaluations
Carry out plans for the accomplishment of training, administration, operations, logistics, quality assurance, and test control measures
Recommend changes to course content and revise standard operating procedures many times during the year with updated tactics, techniques, procedures and technological changes
Serve as liaison, subject matter expert, and point of contact for issues between the active duty and reserve component NCO Academies, and Army wide installations
Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities
Serve as the Budget Officer and Certifying Official for all Defense Travel System documents

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11)
