Responsibilities
Contributing to the architecture, usability, and reliability of the engineering ecosystem
Developing and improving frameworks
Making direct contributions to your team’s product area
Collaborating closely with multiple teams, stakeholders, and peers
Coming up with the next big ideas to build
Helping set expectations and plan roadmaps
Understanding the impact of new features through rigorous data analysis
Mentoring new team members
Exploring and applying AI and emerging technologies to reimagine how work gets done
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of Software Development experience, and/or the ability to perform at an advanced level in the domain
Experience in modern React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Redux / Recoil, Jest, and CSS
Experience in at least one server-side web application language is a plus. Python/Django, Java, Kotlin, mobile development, and/or SQL experience is a plus
Knowledge about GraphQL (Apollo / Relay), accessibility, internationalization, running online A/B experiments is a plus
Experience with CI/CD systems and testing frameworks is a plus
Ability to design and implement heavily used services and systems
Strong collaboration and communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong desire to learn new technologies
Ability to be flexible and adaptable in work environment
Participate in in-person Nextdoor events, trainings, off-sites, volunteer days, and other team building exercises
Eagerness to explore and apply AI and emerging technologies to reimagine how work gets done
Preferred
Experience within the AWS ecosystem
