Posting the related transactions to patient accounts
Ensuring patient statements are received in a timely manner
Maintaining confidentiality and using discretion in carrying out responsibilities
Qualification
Required
Has fundamental understanding of basic math calculations and health insurance terminology
Working knowledge of computer systems with strong keyboarding skills, and the ability to learn new programs
Must be willing and able to maintain confidentiality and use discretion in carrying out responsibilities
Has strong organizational skills, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Must feel comfortable interacting professionally with patients, hospital employees and physicians
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred
One year of experience in medical billing, admitting, or scheduling preferred
