Director/Senior Manager, Event Marketing

Responsibilities

Build Amplēo’s event strategy framework aligned to company and division goals
Create and maintain an annual cross-company event calendar
Develop and maintain an event playbook (evaluation criteria, planning processes, run-of-show templates, staffing expectations, and reporting standards). Lead planning and execution of Amplēo’s annual summit, including theme, content, speakers, logistics, and attendee experience
Design and manage a portfolio of Amplēo-hosted events (roundtables, workshops, webinars, client engagements, regional events)
Oversee all logistics for hosted and sponsored events, including venues, vendors, A/V, production, and on-site execution
Evaluate and recommend sponsored events, conferences, and trade shows based on audience, fit, and ROI. Develop guidelines and expectations for BD, sales, and partners attending events (goals, preparation, talking points, and follow-up)
Partner with Marketing to build event-specific promotion, targeting, and campaigns
Define and coordinate creative needs (landing pages, emails, social assets, decks, signage, and collateral)
Implement standardized lead capture flows (forms, scanning, session engagement) and ensure proper CRM mapping
Establish clear lead scoring and qualification rules for event-generated leads
Coordinate smooth handoff of leads to BD/sales with clear next steps and SLAs
Track and report on event performance (attendance, engagement, pipeline influence, closed-won revenue, and ROI)
Manage event budgets, forecasting, and cost controls
Negotiate and manage vendor relationships and contracts
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency across the event lifecycle
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across divisions to ensure alignment and consistent execution

Required

Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field
10+ years of experience in event planning and management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Proven track record of executing successful large-scale events with multiple stakeholders
Strong project management, budgeting, and negotiation skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously
Proficiency in event management software and marketing tools
