Responsibilities

Verify patient insurance benefits using portals and direct carrier communication
Perform prospective and retrospective utilization reviews
Review documentation for correct CPT and ICD-10-CM coding
Support DME/medical device billing processes
Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office and billing software
Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and workflow needs

Qualification

Insurance verificationCPT/ICD-10 familiarityMedical billing softwarePortal navigationMicrosoft OfficeCommunicationOrganization skillsTeamwork skills

Required

HS diploma required; AA preferred
2+ years in utilization review, benefits verification, or similar role
Knowledge of private insurance, Medicare, and Workers' Compensation
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Preferred

AA preferred
Experience with medical billing software a plus
Proficient in Word, Excel; Adobe and Salesforce preferred
Experience in a physician's office preferred
