The role involves overseeing all aspects of the residency program, developing curriculum, and ensuring high-quality training for residents.

Responsibilities

Lead in development, accreditation, and the long-term success of Baptist Health Paducah's residency program
Develop advanced curriculum, training methods and materials for residents
Evaluate qualifications of residency applicants through documented, formal, procedural based criteria
Coordinate and participate in the recruitment and onboarding process of internal medicine residents
Serve as liaison with University of Louisville School of Medicine and collaborate with University of Louisville's GME leadership and Department of Medicine leadership
Serve on relevant committees representing the Internal Medicine Residency Program and act as the primary liaison and key contact for the Residency Program
Development of inpatient/outpatient medical practice for the purpose of educating internal medicine residents

Required

Must be a Board-Certified Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
A minimum of three years job-related experience is required
Must have three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience
Must be currently practicing clinically and must be licensed in the state of Kentucky or able to obtain a medical license in the state of Kentucky
Must be board certified in Internal Medicine by the ABIM
Must have experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team to create an educational environment that promotes high quality care, patient safety, and resident wellbeing
