Responsibilities

Serve as the central office resource for the Department of Mathematics, responding to in-person, phone, and email inquiries; providing accurate information on departmental programs, services, policies, and procedures; and directing individuals to appropriate campus resources. Provide general administrative support including book orders, correspondence, copying, and scanning
Support Graduate and Undergraduate Program Directors by assisting in the processing of applications and acting as the liaison to the A&S Business Center for onboarding and tuition remission
Serve as the department's travel resource, following university policies
Coordinate departmental events, including seminars, lectures, and special programs which may include logistics, travel, facilities requests, publicity, honoraria, fees, and related payments
Serve as the liaison to the UBM-I regarding financial transactions. Manage departmental purchasing, procurement card, and stockroom/equipment needs
Assist with course scheduling, including teaching assignments, room scheduling
Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations and mission of the department

Required

High School Diploma/GED with two (2) yrs of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook
Proficient in Workday
