Proxemics Consulting represents Tier 1 Automotive Suppliers throughout North and South America, and they are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer / Sr. Electrical Technician to support a new product launch for an OEM customer. The role involves performing and managing re-flashes, running CAN bus interfaces, and troubleshooting electronic components in a manufacturing plant environment.

Responsibilities

Perform and manage re-flashes

Run CAN – UART over CAN bus based GUI to operate lamp functions

Run oscilloscope to measure signals coming into the HL

Proficient on hand soldering and wiring for test and breakout boxes

Take communication CAN logs from ECU data

Support OEM Electronics engineers remotely with circuit analysis at vehicle

Conduct A-B-A swaps of lamps or lamp ECU modules and take data to show if the error follows the part

Able to work in a manufacturing plant environment

Communication and reporting skills (Reports in Excel, PowerPoint)

This must be an electrically trained Senior Tech or Engineer

Run CAN – UART over CAN bus based GUI (OEM provided software interface) to operate lamp functions

Run oscilloscope (pico scope on computer or portable scope) to measure signals coming into the HL (from the BCM) Example - Record scope plots in various vehicle key positions (off, key on, engine on)

Proficient on hand soldering and wiring (Hands on experience) for test and breakout boxes

Take communication CAN logs from ECU data

Support OEM Electronics engineers remotely with circuit analysis at vehicle

Person should be trained in using UART over CAN internal tools

Electronics troubleshooting skills, such as: Conduct A-B-A swaps of lamps or lamp ECU modules and take data to show if the error follows the part

Able to work in a manufacturing plant environment

Communication and reporting skills (Reports in Excel, PowerPoint)
