Metric Geo is a long-established and respected electrical contractor with a strong presence in the commercial, industrial, and utility sectors. They are seeking a C&I Estimator to develop detailed cost estimates for commercial and industrial electrical projects, playing a crucial role in the preconstruction process.

Responsibilities

Review drawings, technical specifications, and project documents to generate accurate electrical estimates
Perform detailed material, labor, and equipment take-offs using industry-standard estimating tools
Collaborate with engineering, project management, and field operations to confirm scope and pricing
Evaluate value engineering options and propose cost-effective solutions
Solicit and incorporate pricing from vendors and subcontractors
Prepare bid proposals, estimate summaries, and supporting documentation
Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions as needed
Analyze historical cost data and market conditions to refine estimate accuracy
Assist with project handoff to operations after award

Required

3–7+ years of electrical estimating experience (commercial and/or industrial)
Strong understanding of electrical systems, NEC codes, and installation methods
Proficiency in estimating software (Accubid, Trimble, ConEst, etc.)
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, one-lines, risers, and P&IDs
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Effective communication and relationship-building abilities

Preferred

Experience with medium-voltage, low-voltage, instrumentation, and control systems
Degree or technical training in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience also valued
