Alphanumeric Systems is supporting an environmentally focused energy innovator committed to sustainability, and they are seeking a Packaged Equipment Engineer – Level 3. This role involves system design, vendor management, and continuous improvement to support global clean-energy initiatives.

Responsibilities

Interpret P&IDs, drawings, and technical documentation to define system requirements

Prepare detailed engineering calculations to ensure proper sizing and performance of mechanical equipment

Develop inquiry and purchase specifications for mechanical systems and components

Review and evaluate vendor designs for compliance with codes, standards, contracts, and internal requirements

Specify testing requirements and analyze vendor test results to validate performance

Ensure arrangement drawings and foundation interfaces meet engineering and project specifications

Integrate design requirements provided by global engineering teams

Provide technical recommendations for vendor selection and qualification

Meet regularly with suppliers to ensure technical alignment and on-time deliverables

Prepare clear and concise correspondence to vendors and cross-functional engineering teams

Develop and manage schedules for engineering deliverables to meet project milestones

Interpret and respond to technical inquiries from customers, vendors, and field personnel

Ensure compliance with all applicable industry codes and standards in system design

Provide regular progress updates to management, including risks and mitigation plans

Lead development of standard drawings, specifications, and design improvements

Identify opportunities to reduce system costs without compromising quality or performance

Establish and refine engineering processes to optimize resources and improve output quality

Implement corrective actions to reduce nonconformance and enhance product reliability

Generate innovative ideas for product and system improvements

Proactively enhance engineering tools, workflows, and documentation

Work effectively in a multicultural, multi-disciplinary environment

Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels

Travel between 5%–20% as required

Seasoned mechanical systems engineer

Ability to solve complex technical challenges
