Responsibilities

Maintain and analyze standard costs for products, materials, and labor

Perform monthly inventory reconciliations and ensure proper valuation under GAAP

Monitor and analyze manufacturing variances, including price/material usage/labor and overhead absorption

Support month-end close by preparing and reviewing journal entries

Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports

Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards

Partner with operations and supply chain to identify cost drivers, efficiencies, and areas of improvement

Assist in inventory costs and profitability products

Create annual standard cost updates

Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance cost visibility and operational efficiency

Required

5+ years of Cost Accounting experience a MUST

Experience in $300M+ construction materials manufacturing or similar

Solid, hands-on inventory experience

Advanced Excel skills, experience with ERP systems (SAP a plus)

Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, BOMs/routings, and variance analysis

Preferred

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
