Part time Administrative Assistant

LHH is partnering with a nonprofit organization in Washington, D.C., to hire a part-time Administrative Assistant for a 3-month temporary contract, with the potential for extension. This role involves various administrative tasks including managing emails, organizing meetings, and maintaining electronic files.

Responsibilities

Monitor one or more central email inboxes and ensure emails are routed to the appropriate team members in a timely manner
Track team progress on tasks according to checklists or standard operating procedures, and send reminder emails when needed to maintain deadlines
Create and manage online surveys using web applications such as SurveyMonkey (or similar platforms), and download, analyze, and summarize survey responses
Assist in organizing team meetings, including identifying agenda items related to monitoring team progress, taking detailed notes, and distributing meeting summaries
Participate in staff or member conference calls as requested, supporting meeting preparation, note-taking, and distribution of action items
Organize and maintain electronic file structures and databases using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive)
Draft professional emails and other communications for internal teams and external partners as needed
Manage customer service requests, including triaging inquiries and providing timely responses
Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Required

Proven experience in administrative or office support roles, with strong organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks, track progress, and follow up effectively
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members and external partners
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally

Preferred

Experience creating and analyzing online surveys
Customer service experience a plus
