Responsibilities

Assists in the care, maintenance, preparation and cleaning of equipment per manufacturer’s guidelines
Provides assistance to nurses and physician during procedure per the nurses’ direction, including but not limited to collecting specimens
Follows OSHA and other standards for protection against blood borne pathogens
Uses good body mechanics and aseptic technique
Assists in the placement of patient monitors per the nurses directions (ie BP cuffs, pulse oximeter, EKG leads, etc.)

Required

BLS Certification
HS Diploma or equivalent
1 year of GI experience
Basic understanding of practices and concepts related to endoscopy procedures
Good verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and meticulous
