Payroll Analyst Officer

Responsibilities
Perform Payroll Tax Filings for Canada on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis and ensures timely filings and payments. Filing of Annual Tax Forms to agencies
Review balance and approve Payroll Tax Filings for USA on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis for a multi-state corporation and ensures timely filings and payments. Review and approve filing of Annual Tax Forms to agencies
Ability to balance and reconcile payroll results against vendor reporting
Participate in managing payments to tax authorities in compliance with specific tax regulations
Translate processes into written procedures documenting steps accurately and updating existing procedures as business processes change
Responsible for the overall management of the tax liabilities of Citi, both directly and in connection with transactions with clients, including the related compliance, financial reporting, planning and controversy processes
Experience with reconciliations and balancing
Research and respond to any agency notices and work to resolve issues
Processes assignments meeting the Service Level Agreement requirements and works within established deadlines and schedules
Works with other team members on established projects and initiatives
Performs more complex tasks in support of the team manager and area projects as assigned
Works under little to no direct supervision and supports an expansive and/or diverse array of products/services
Coaches and trains more junior payroll specialists
Advises on procedures and concepts in technical/subject area and integrates with others in accomplishing the objectives of the sub function/ job family
Improves process efficiencies in harmony of unit goals
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Perform other duties and functions as assigned
Qualification
Required
1-3 years of experience in preparation and filing of multi-state payroll taxes to Canadian and US Federal, State and Local tax authorities as well as Yearend/Annual payroll tax filings
Excellent Excel skills
Knowledge of Workday and ADP Smart Compliance
Associate or Bachelor's degree
