SEO Account Manager
Icepick Web Design & SEO is a local SEO agency focused on home service contractors. They are seeking an SEO Account Manager to manage client relationships, provide strategic input, and ensure effective communication between clients and the fulfillment team.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for 30+ home service clients
Communicate daily via Slack and email with responsiveness and clarity
Build trust through consistent, proactive communication—not just reacting to requests
Record weekly Loom updates summarizing progress, wins, and next steps
Lead monthly strategy calls walking clients through performance and recommendations
Translate SEO metrics into language business owners actually understand
Manage new client onboarding: welcome emails, access collection, expectation-setting
Ensure smooth handoffs to the fulfillment team with clear documentation
Communicate client needs to our SEO and web dev team with clarity and follow-through
Track updates, pending items, and client health in our project management system
Spot early warning signs of dissatisfaction and escalate before they become churn risks
Prepare proposals for qualified leads using our templates
Follow up to answer questions and move deals forward
Qualification
Required
3–5 years in client success, account management, or a client-facing SEO role
Solid understanding of local SEO fundamentals (rankings, GBP, citations, content)
Experience managing 20+ accounts simultaneously without dropping balls
Comfortable with Slack, Loom, and tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar
Strong on-camera presence, you'll be recording Looms and leading video calls regularly
Proactive and organized; you don't wait to be told what needs doing
Genuinely enjoy working with small business owners
