Responsible for enforcing Company policies of conduct and safety and initiates corrective action where necessary
Develops and maintains relationships with freight carriers to ensure on-time deliveries to the Distribution Center
Identifies the causes of product losses and takes appropriate corrective action
Analyzes current procedures and new ideas to continuously improve productivity and efficiencies
Selects, develops, trains, and motivates staff
Ensure proper procedures are followed while receiving and splitting product
General building and equipment maintenance
Ensure product is properly received, stored, and ready to ship in a timely manner
Work directly with the Distribution Center Manager to effectively carry out all duties
Qualification
Required
Staff, organize, and direct operations within the Distribution Center Receiving Department
Manage the receiving and splitting of goods under the direction of the DC Manager
Control costs through productivity of personnel
Efficient utilization of storage space
Proper protection of stored materials
Enforce Company policies of conduct and safety
Initiate corrective action where necessary
