Package/Freight Delivery

Responsibilities

Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions

Balances account spreadsheets; matches and defines discrepancies between payments and amounts billed in system

Responsible for employment verifications, child support deductions, franchise tax board deductions

Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed; totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases

Prepares invoices, checks, timecards, and other records and reviews for accuracy

Answers, screens, and directs incoming telephone calls

Sorts and distributes internal and external mail

Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Required

One-year certificate from college or technical school, six months to one year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Computer skills required: Accounting Software (QuickBooks); Database Software (Access); Development Software; Internet Software; Manufacturing Software; Payroll Systems; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Contract Management Systems; Design Software; Human Resource Systems; Inventory Software; Order Processing Systems; Project Management Software; Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); Presentation software (PowerPoint); and Publisher software

Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures

Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors

Strong computer skills

Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
