Responsibilities

Oversee all phases of month-end closings, financial reviews, and maintenance of internal financial reporting controls
Prepare and review complex balance sheet reconciliations, monthly journal entries, and associated schedules
Perform and assist with the review and analysis of significant fluctuations across income statement and balance sheet accounts
Review trial balance accounts, intercompany activity, and departmental reports for reasonableness and accuracy before final release
Prepare ad-hoc reports and accounting schedules for in-depth analysis of general ledger accounts
Drive the streamlining of the month-end close process and assist with the ongoing update of accounting policies and procedures
Research and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures
Support strategic and financial initiatives through various Special Projects as needed

Required

BBA in Accounting or Finance with 7+ years of progressive accounting experience (evidenced by promotion history)
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a MUST
Excellent understanding of accounting principles, debit/credit workflow, and exceptionally strong analytical skills with an uncompromising attention to detail
Hands-on and detail-oriented approach to document preparation and review
Uncompromising personal integrity and corporate professionalism are essential
Proven ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, managing peak workloads effectively to meet firm deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative communication style, capable of interacting effectively with all levels of the organization
